The key to initiating detoxification support is to go low and slow, allowing your body systems time to acclimate and adjust compensations with as little turbulence as possible.

- Daily Detox Beverage—sip throughout the day: blend clean water, lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, unsweetened cranberry juice
- Daily Detox Bath or foot soak—combine epsom salt (magnesium), essential oils, and baking soda for a detoxifying soak. On occasion add bentonite clay or activated charcoal.
- Magnesium Spray—spray on bottom of feet and massage just before bed.
- Adequate selenium (selenomethionine) before bed.
- A.M. methylation support if you have MTHFR genetic mutation(s)—Work with a qualified practitioner.
- Evening Detox Tea—roasted dandelion root, for example.
- Intermittent Fasting—give your body 12-18 hours with no food as a regular health practice. (Not recommended for diabetics or those with adrenal fatigue, severe anxiety, hypoglycemia, cancer, or those recovering from chemo or surgery.)
- Adequate clean water w/pink Himalayan salt added. Consume 1/2 your weight in ounces daily. That would be 75 oz for someone who weighs 150 lbs.
- Adequate fruits and vegetables—eat every color of produce within a day and aim for at least 4 colors with each meal. {Organic when possible}
- Additional antioxidant support—high quality, food-grade supplements: vitamin c, elderberry, turmeric, NAC, aloe vera, resveratrol, green tea, cacao, wild blueberry, cranberry, black berry, pecans, artichoke, kidney beans, goji berries (not if you have nightshade sensitivity). Also: garlic, cayenne (not with nightshade sensitivity), clove, cinnamon, dried oregano, cumin, parsley, basil, cilantro, ginger, thyme.
- Optimize vitamin D3/K2 levels for immune support. Increase dark, leafy greens.
- In times of severe detox, when body is dumping toxic loads, Neutra-Tabs from Physician’s Preference or Alka-Seltzer Gold may be helpful. Activated Charcoal is also beneficial for severe detox or ingestion of harmful/intolerant foods. {Allow 2 hours on either side of charcoal dosage between food/meds/supplements}
- Pay attention to all products and chemicals that come into contact with your skin. They should be non-toxic, including shampoos/conditioners/soaps, make-up, laundry detergents, and cleaning products in your home. {Discontinue chemical fabric softener and dryer sheets immediately. Switch to a safe brand such as Mrs. Meyers.}
- Emotional Freedom Technique and/or The Emotion Code for detoxing stress and negative emotions.
- Massage. Start with light pressure for 30 minutes or less. Drink a lot of electrolyte water afterwards and also take activated charcoal to help with the detox dump.
- Acupuncture, acupressure. Start with light pressure for 30 minutes or less. Drink a lot of electrolyte water afterwards and also take activated charcoal to help with the detox dump.
- Myofascial release. Start with light pressure for 30 minutes or less. Drink a lot of electrolyte water afterwards and also take activated charcoal to help with the detox dump.
- Foam rolling. Start with light pressure for 30 minutes or less. Drink a lot of electrolyte water afterwards and also take activated charcoal to help with the detox dump.
- Dry brushing. Use a natural sea loofah or sea bristle brush.
- Dry sauna. Start at 5 minutes and work up to 30 minutes. Hydrate well! Stack electrolytes before and replace after.
- Rebounding. Start with a very gentle 3-5 minute jump and add one minute each day until you can do 10 minutes easily.
- Oil Pulling. Start with a 5-minute oil pull twice per week, and then work up to 30 minutes each day. Morning or right before bed is a good time.
- Earthing: walking/sitting barefoot on clean grass for at least five minutes each day to balance electrons. Especially good for detoxification, anxiety, tight chest, shallow breathing, rapid heartbeat, restlessness, nervousness. If earthing at night, also gaze at the moon, stars, sky. If earthing during the day, remove sunglasses and gaze at trees, sky, green grass.
